TAKE TEXAS BACK!
A bunch of thieves, thugs, and nutcases took over Texas. Then they used it as a stepping stone to Washington, DC.

They raided our treasury, stripped our schools and handed it all to their corporate cronies.

domestic spying

Update: Big Brother is Watching You II

by: annatopia

Mon Feb 19, 2007 at 12:15:08 PM CST

Last month I wrote about a story I've been following: the case of domestic spying on major American data carriers. At the time, using information available online as well as several news sources, I put forth some speculation.

First, that innocent Americans' data is being swept up and stored thanks to the use of the "full pipe" data gathering technique.  Second, that the government's Total Information Awareness Program - which was "killed" but never defunded - was being used to build domestic spying facilities around the country.

I caught PBS's NOW program last Friday by chance, and I'm glad I did.  They have resources not available to this lowly blogger.  What PBS discovered will chill your bones.  Yes, data on innocent Americans is being intercepted and stored. Additionally, more whistleblowers have come forward to establish the existence of another secret spy room on AT&T's network, built post 9-11.

The REAL Story of today - Bush is looking into our Banking records

by: krazypuppy

( - promoted by krazypuppy)

I know the big story today has been the "terror" plot in Miami.

Well, I'm incredibly sorry.  This was NOT the big story today & I should've dug a little deeper & put more of the REAL story of today:

The big story today was the Banking story by the NYTimes & LATimes.

And Keith Olbermann is discussing if this was aimed to distract us all from the Banking Story which shows once again George Bush is invading our privacy by looking at our bank records - and some banks did not even know.

Justice Dept officials spent EIGHT hours last night trying to convince the LATimes & NYTimes to not go public.

And then this happened?

I'll let you connect the dots.  I'm just disgusted with Bushco - more than normal today.

Best Poll EVER - Americans are pissed at NSA; What your phone number gives NSA & retailers

by: krazypuppy

Sat May 13, 2006 at 17:15:32 PM CDT

Well, well, well.  Yesterday, we heard news from the Washington Post that almost 70% of Americans didn't care if they were being spied on by the NSA regarding phone numbers people call.

I did a diary "Worst Poll EVER" on how incredibly biased that poll was & how it seemed to be about silencing people's outrage.

Now today we've got vindication!  A NEWSWEEK (yes, those evil liberal bastards) conducted its own poll & found a 53% of Americans think the NSA & Bush are going too far.  Only 41% said it was ok.

Worst Poll Ever!

by: krazypuppy

Fri May 12, 2006 at 15:29:03 PM CDT

In one of the most manipulated polls I've seen, 66% of Americans appear to be ok with the NSA spying on their phone calls.

BULL.

Polls, when done correctly, can really prove useful.  But there is a reason why some polls can be misleading: they can push people to a particular answer.

I used to do telephone polls (hey, had to pay for college!) & one thing we were told over & over was to stay on script so as to not influence the person.

But even the questions had to asked properly and neutrally.

Take a closer look at the poll's methology & questions.

Can we Impeach NOW?? Bush responds to Phone Spying - for 30 Seconds! Leahy goes nu-cu-lar

by: krazypuppy

Thu May 11, 2006 at 11:52:00 AM CDT

Is shit finally hitting the fan?

If the NSA can spy on the phone conversations of EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN, take the Constitution, cut it up into pieces & sell it as a souvenirb/c it's over.

Der Füror responds to the Phone Furor....for all of 30 seconds.  Nice.

“We are not mining or trolling through the personal lives of millions of innocent Americans,” Bush said. “Our efforts are focused on links to al-Qaida and their known affiliates."

Um, we saw what your word meant in Iraq, Bush.  I ain't falling for that one again!

BOOM! NSA wants (has) a record of every call you've ever made - is it listening in too?

by: krazypuppy

Thu May 11, 2006 at 09:18:35 AM CDT

So do you feel safe now?  I really thought I was being paranoid.

The NSA in charge of a domestic spying program has been secretly collecting phone call records of tens of millions of Americans, including calls made within the United States, USA Today reported on Thursday.

In fact the three stupid companies that provided the records, AT&T, Verizon, & BellSouth, service 200 million people.  um, isn't that EVERYBODY with a phone??

Here's what I want to know:

Why is the National Security Agency - the same agency that headed by Condi Rice failed to protect us from 9/11 - spying on ordinary Americans when 90% of our cargo containers are not even checked at our ports?

This time they cannot lie about it being "terrorists" making international calls.

These are by American citizens to Americans here in the States.
